School Dinners

SCHOOL FOOD POLICY

Our school recognises the importance of a healthy diet and the significant connection between a healthy diet and a pupil's ability to learn effectively in school. We will consider the role good food and drink can play across the whole school environment ensuring that awareness of healthy eating is promoted to all members of the school and wider community.

SCHOOL DINNERS

Our school meals are provided by Dolce, an innovative school meals company with an online ordering system. All meals can be ordered in advance at home to ensure all children are served the meal of their choice from the menu of the day.

Parents set up a Direct Debit for their School Grid account. You will receive a statement two weeks before the amount due is deducted from your account, detailing what meals your child has had and when! You will be able to log in to the School Grid to check out the menu and the nutritional values, even order from home with your child.

You can also pay online with your credit and debit cards.

Please find links below to our school meal provider's website and online ordering system:

  • School meals cost 2.25 per day, 11.25 per week.

  • Nursery Meals cost 1.95 per week.

  • Please inform school if your child has any allergies or nutritional requirements.

LUNCHTIME SUPERVISION

Children are supervised by Midday Assistants during the lunch break. All school staff follow the school's behaviour policy. It is expected that all children are respectful and courteous to all adults and children in school.

MORNING BREAK

In the Early Years department and Key Stage 1, the children are provided each day with a healthy snack as part of the 'Fruit in Schools' scheme. In Key Stage 2, the children can bring in a healthy snack each day, (no crisps or chocolate bars please). Sweets should not be sent into school as part of their morning snack or packed lunch.
