Outdoor Learning
At Arden we believe that the Outdoor Learning environment has much to offer our children and that they have the right to experience the unique and special nature of being outdoors. Our extensive grounds provide a variety of environments that offer the space and freedom for a type of learning that cannot be replicated indoors.
Children form Nursery to Year 6 engage in outdoor experiences that support learning across all areas of the curriculum.
We are also part of Forest Schools, a holistic way of learning where children visit our Woodland area to play, learn and discover and develop confidence and self-esteem.
Our ongoing developments in the Outdoor Learning areas within the Foundation Stage allow for free flow provision in and outside of the classrooms, giving children the choice of where they wish to play and learn. Activities in these areas allow children to develop skills across all areas of the curriculum.
