At Arden Primary School we recognise that children face many barriers to their learning. It is part of our ethos to ensure that these are effectively and efficiently removed so that all children make good progress. An integral part of this work surrounds the use of our pupil premium money which is given by the government to support the education of children based on a number of factors. The main criteria (and the ones which currently apply to Arden Primary) are eligibility for free school meals (FSM) and Looked After Children (LAC). There is no set guidance on the way in which this funding should be allocated. It is up to individual schools to determine their own priorities.
Pupil Premium Funding
These funds were used in a variety of ways to provide additional support and intervention for all pupils, but with a particular focus on those in receipt of 'Free School Meals' (FSM) and 'Looked After Children (LAC). A key area where these funds were targeted was to ensure the continued progress and academic achievement for these vulnerable groups.
