Castleton 2025

14 Mar

Wow – what an unforgettable two days our Year 4 children had on their trip to Castleton! From the moment they set off, the excitement of the children and staff was palpable - and it’s safe to say the trip more than lived up to expectations.

Year 4's adventure kicked off with a visit to the incredible Treak Cliff Cavern, where the children got to explore the magical underground world of stalactites and stalagmites and spotted the sparkling Blue John stone.

The children also got to soak up the stunning scenery of Castleton on a (rather long - well done all!) walk. They embraced the challenge of hiking through the hills, learning about the local wildlife and plants as they went.

Evenings were just as much fun, with some brilliant team-building activities that had everyone laughing and working together. Whether it was problem-solving challenges or just sharing stories at the end of a busy day, it was lovely to see and hear about our children's friendships growing stronger.

A huge thank you to the amazing staff who made the trip run so smoothly, and to our fantastic Year 4 explorers for throwing themselves into every activity with enthusiasm. You did us proud!

We hope you enjoy a well-deserved rest and shared plenty of stories with your families!
